Our thanks to our media partner Nursing Standard for their continued support. This has included regular coverage concerning the progress of the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal as well as urging their readers to donate to the charity. In addition, in March 2011, they donated £1,000 as sponsorship for specially designed T-shirts for the Royal College of Nursing Congress in April 2011 in Liverpool.

Delegates at the Royal College of Nursing Congress held in Liverpool in April 2011 donated the magnificent sum of £2,120 towards the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal! A huge thank you to all the generous nurses, students and healthcare assistants.
Wreath-laying ceremony
