MSMSA delighted with £500 donation from Southwold Primary School in Hackney
Lord Soley recently received a cheque for £500 from Mr Darren Chetty, teacher at Southwold Primary School in Hackney on Monday 11th January 2010.
After the pupils at Southwold Primary School in Hackney learnt about Mary Seacole they decided to raise money for the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal by holding fundraising events at their school. These included selling cakes that they had baked together with donated items such as a box of Houses of Parliament mints donated by Diane Abbott,their local MP.
